Our Fees

Clear information about how we charge and direct access to our published fee schedules.

Clear costs from the outset

We believe clients should understand the likely cost of legal work before deciding whether to instruct us. After assessing your matter, we will explain the proposed charging basis, what is included, likely disbursements and any work that would require a separate quotation.

Please note: The final fee may change depending on the complexity or urgency of the matter, the volume of evidence, the number of applicants or parties, whether hearings are required and any unexpected developments. We will explain any material change and agree it with you before carrying out additional work.
VAT: All professional fees shown exclude VAT. VAT at 20% is charged where applicable, generally for clients based in the UK. VAT is not normally charged to clients resident outside the UK. We will confirm the VAT position and total fee before you instruct us.

Other legal services

For family law, housing, landlord and tenant, civil litigation, personal injury and commercial lease matters, the appropriate fee depends heavily on the facts, urgency and amount of work required. We will provide a written estimate or fixed-fee proposal where suitable after an initial assessment.

Charging arrangements

  • Fixed fees: available for suitable, clearly defined work.
  • Hourly rates: used where the scope cannot reliably be fixed.
  • Legal Aid: may be available for qualifying housing matters, subject to scope and financial eligibility.
  • Conditional fee agreements: may be considered for suitable personal injury claims following an assessment; availability is not guaranteed.

Disbursements

Disbursements are costs payable to third parties. They may include court or tribunal fees, Home Office fees, barristers, experts, interpreters, medical reports, searches, travel and courier charges.

We will explain likely disbursements before they are incurred. Third-party providers may charge VAT.
